It's amazing how when you have NO time, you think of grandiose things you'd do if you had any spare time. And then when you have too much spare time, wasting it away in front of the boob toob, the less and less you get done.

Now I know this is about downtime at work, but those were my first thoughts when I started to type... Anyway, if there is downtime, relax as it's precious. I'd love to have extra time at work to do nothing. My company is matrixed which means when there is any downtime, you will be working on a different project. it sux. we used to have lots of downtime and we took it for granted. now... nothing...

The problem is that when there is downtime here, you never know how long it will last, so you are in a constant state of anticipation....you might get a project that will take all day, or you might wait hours before anything happens...i can't relax...it's a weird state of being...
