I'm an avid Hunter but around my home I am literally in Squirrel Central and it got to the point I had to do something. I went out and invested in 2 Havahart Squirrel cage traps, rigged them with some peanut butter and peanuts in the shell, and started to catch them "live"..I simply loaded them into my SUV and drove them about 3 miles from my home and "relocated" them.....The traps work great. I've already moved about 22 Squirrels to date, and my bird feeders and flower bulbs are once again safe.....I think if you try shooting them, you'll really pi** off your neighbors, and this way you get it done without being a bad guy...I had a few that were a real "Challenge" to catch and that made it even more interesting. Besides if you were to shoot 1 then there will be 2 more to take it's place soon thereafter..Worked for me!
