The people you are basing this opinion on appear to be something other than true Christians.
The Bible warns us to be aware of false teachings, and advises us to compare any teachings we hear to what we read in the Bible. The Bible is considered the final authority.
The truths of the BIble and the current concepts of Science can coexist quite nicely.
Think of this....
The bible refers to "The Circle of the Earth". Isn't it interesting that for centuries, humans thought the Earth was flat, but only proved, with science, that the earth is indeed rounded? Of course, it was in the Bible all along, but people just "didn't get it". |
