We have had Ronald Reagan, Arnold Schwarzeneggar, Jesse Ventura, Sonny Bono, an now Fred Thompson. And many celebrities endorse politicans, like Oprah helps Obama, and Chuck Norris helps Huckabee.
Why do they use their popularity to persuade voters?
It is like you are voting for the celebrity, rather than the candidate.
