You make a great observation with mentioning Shawn Merriman getting busted for steroid use, and then being considered for the Defensive Player of the Year.
To answer your point, steroids could be a factor but we don't know for sure. I think Harrison is the only one who was suspended for steroid use.
The Patriots do play in a weak division, but I think their winning has more to do with Spygate than steroids. |
