You sound like a bloke who has lost it a million times for, perhaps, all the wrong reasons.
As a man who has made every mistake in almost every circumstance and situation, who has finally climbed out the other end of the tunnel, I might be able to give you a hand here.
You need to know that often men's groups and counselling sessions just dont seem to get to the point you make, as the man you are.
They lack substance in a way, theyre are all tip and no iceberg.
If youve beaten your wife, held your sons puppy in the air and held a pump action 12 gauge against its head threatening to blow its head off because the family cant feed the dog, let alone the humans in the house, got upset with your neighbour so badly you went over there and beat the tatooed mongrel in a frenzy and jumped on his legs and head until they were broken in 30 places, if you have cigarette butted a man hanging upside done in a tree for three days over a drug deal gone bad (against you) who eventually lived in a coma for seven months, pushed a man over an 80 foot cliff and then dragged his lifeless body away into the bush to lime him into the ground, or shot a man for breaking a toy electric train set you have had for 30 years, well then I have climbed out the other end of that tunnel and Im pretty happy with the man I am today.
No church, no snivveling whackers, no bullshit.

The "help" groups to a large extent "help" people like you and me because they get funding and get all warm and huggy and back patty.
Thats good but you need to, in the end, know that YOU had it in YOU to find the answer to what stirs you.
