What anime movie is this?

I have very little info on it, but maybe an anime guru can help me. I used to watch a movie the Sci-Fi channel. It was about this girl who was some kind of "hunter." She hunted these mushroom headed demon things with red eyes. That's really all I know about it =/. Any ideas?

Honestly, the only one on there that I noticed was Vampire Hunter D.. but I don't remember exactly what they looked like... She is a hunter of some kind, but I don't remember what they showed her hunting... (the movie was more about D than it was about the female character.. and she is only shown "hunting" in the beginning..I do remember red eyes..but that's about it)

My copy of the original is on VHS and I don't have a working VHS player at the moment so I can't double check..
