I don't think David Ortiz is on steroids, considering what a fat tub of goo he is. But the spike in his stats between 2002 and '03 is, as Arte Johnson used to say on "Laugh-In," verrrry intereshting. Manny Ramirez? He's too dumb to figure out how to use steroids. Curt Schilling, Josh Beckett, Jason Varitek? In each case, that's not "roid rage," that's his natural personality. Kevin Youkilis? Well, maybe.

Wow...talk about bitter...just let the Sox and their fans enjoy the championship...that article is nothing but speculation...if you want to do that then you have to speculate that EVERY World Series Champion starting at around '92 was juiced...not just this year's...that might possibly be the worst article for you to use as your "Red Sox are cheaters" question...it is written by someone just like you...bitter that the Sox won and citing no fact just theory.

It should be noted that there isn't much of a spike (17 more hits, 11 more homers, 7 more doubles, 26 more RBIs, 27 more runs, 15 more walks, and 4 less strikeouts coming from 36 more at-bats)...if that is considered a spike it could be from going to a new team, getting a new hitting coach, or even a new stadium...the real spike came in 2004 when the Sox put him at DH and he had 134 more at-bats than the previous year...it isn't very interesting and it isn't even a spike...look at the numbers before you start implying that someone did steroids.

Well...Mitchell already helped the Sox cheat by dropping Bryd's name the day of game 7 ALCS. Why would anyone believe Mitchell would throw anyone on the Sox under the bus now? Then again, Mitchell got the WS win he was after so maybe he will throw some of them under the bus...probably only the ones that are on their way out though.

And for those of you who aren't aware, Mitchell is not only heading the steroids investigation for MLB, he's on the Board of Directors for the Sox. Can anyone say conflict of interest?

This article is complete and total speculation.

OH COME ON. r u really that fucking retarded. this is probably the worse question i have ever seen. there is no way ppl on the 2007 Red Sox are juiced. there is absolutely no way on the team is. i think ur some jealous yankee fan who cant take the fact that the red sox are better. GET OVER IT. and honestly if they did theo wouldnt keep them. he is not the kind of person who would allow that to happen. i dont know about former red sox teams but if u look back everyone back then was probably doing that. so it would not be a surprise to me to see some huge names from any team on it maybe even someone from the yankees.
