| Will Arod go the Red Sox next season?
Who cares, he's a tool. He will go with the team willing to pay him to most....if that's the TAMPA BAY DEVIL RAYS, well than that's where he'll go. He will follow the money and the RED SOX will not pay ANYONE $30 mil a year i don't care who they are. Not unless they will generate $35 mil for them and A-rod or anyone else couldn't do that.
That's one of the reason the RED SOX were so genius to sign DICE K by throwing up the $51 mil posting fee. The expected posting fee was to be $30 mil and the YANKEES put up $38 but the RED SOX knew that $51 mil was nothing compared to what they would generate with Japanese TV, merchandise, endorsement deals & the influx of Japanese spectators. In doing so the have already recouped the $51 million plus in the first year of the deal. A-ROD will certainly not do anything like that for them so there is no real chance they will sign him. The most that will happen is they run up his price for the competition. |
