Years ago, I was able to read one of John Grisham's novels. I think it was The Jury or The Runaway Jury. Later, a film based on the story was made, starring John Cusack. John Grisham is an effective writer.

I think what makes him an effective writer is because he is a lawyer. He knows his job and he has so much to write about it.
