hehe you forgot the tuna! =)

but your post makes me think of another pasta salad i know thats really different and reeeeeally good! i get to use 8 ingredients too, since you left out tuna and that would have made 8. your recipe sounds yummy though! =)

tiny elbow macaroni, about a pound
chopped ham (1.5 cups)
chopped cheddar (1.5 cups, cubed)
mayonnaise (just enough to make it creamy)
*this one sounds strange, but can be left out if you find it TOO weird...but, about 3 tablespoons of juice from DILL pickles
8 chopped up DILL pickles
chopped green onions (one bunch)
garlic powder (1 teaspoon, or to taste)

cook pasta according to directions, rinse till cool. mix all ingredients w/ pasta, salt and pepper to taste, and chill in fridge.

Griddled Fillet Steak

Ingredients

1 Fillet Steak (1/2 lb)
Butter

put the griddle pan on a high heat, put half the butter in the pan so it sizzles
put the steak in the pan, cook for 4 minutes until it has black griddle lines
turn the steak, cook for 4 minutes, melt the other half of the butter onto this side.

serve

should be lovely and pink in the middle, now that's a quick 2 ingredient meal.

I make this at least once a week - I use whole wheat penne to up the health factor. Salt & pepper don't really count as ingredients, right?

Cavatappi with Spinach, Beans, and Asiago Cheese

For a simple dish, this contains many healthful ingredients, plus the flavors are complex. If you toss the spinach and Asiago cheese while the pasta is still warm, the spinach will wilt and the cheese will soften. When this happens, the flavors blend and become more pungent. This is peasant food at its best.

Ingredients
8 cups coarsely chopped spinach leaves
4 cups hot cooked cavatappi (about 6 ounces uncooked spiral-shaped pasta)
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 (19-ounce) can cannellini beans or other white beans, drained
2 garlic cloves, crushed
1/2 cup (2 ounces) shredded Asiago cheese
Fresh ground black pepper (optional)

Preparation
Combine all ingredients in a large bowl; toss well. Sprinkle with fresh ground black pepper, if desired.

Yield
4 servings (serving size: 2 cups)
