to be honest i fail to see why an NFL rule/policy should be of any interest to the US senate. I realize that Specter is a disgruntled Eagles fan but this is a serious abuse of his power. Investigating steroid use is a stretch but at least that involves drug rings that actually break US laws. Besides the fact that we already know that the patriots have been using video tape to scout other teams. what else is there to learn? in the end what does he intend to accomplish by using the time of the US congress and the money of the american tax payers? is he going to put the patriots in jail of kick them out of the league or something? This country has so many larger issues, more important issues than this. its kind of embarassing that a US senator is chosing the stage of the biggest event of the US calendar to gain face time instead of doing something productive.

In the end no matter what happens, nothing will change. everyone will still call the patriots cheaters, wont give them credit for anything they have done and they will still have 4 superbowl titles.

Like we should all trust the senate, after all they carry the mantle of truth and justice. I'm being sarcastic if you even know what that means. I am not even a patriot fan and I find this a waste of time. The NFL handled it whether we agreed with the punishment or not is irrelevant. The fact is, the matter was investigated and fines were levied. This is Super Bowl week and to bring this up is more then a joke its sickening. To think we have a Senator who has nothing better to do then stick his nose in a matter settle by the NFL. All kidding aside the senate needs to clean up its own mess and solve real problems.
