| patriots, should there be an asterisk?
What if the Patriots were caught cheating in week 16 instead of way back in week 1, do you think that people would still remember the cheating scandal? We don't even know when the cheating began. Would the NFL and the Media be so quick to sweep the scandal under the rug and forget the whole scandal, as many sports fans have?
No one denied the cheating and yes, they were penalized, RIGHT?...Well not exactly. Did anyone notice that there were no penalties against the Patriots* for THIS YEAR? Oh my, a fine...oooohh... that'll show 'em not to cheat, RIGHT?...Well not really. That fine and NEXT YEARS draft pick does not effect the Patriots what so ever this year.
When I was involved in organized sports as a kid, if a team or coach was caught cheating in a game, your team would forfeit the game or at the minimum you would see a suspension...Well none of that happened. What great role models the Cheatriots* are for the kids.
Too bad for all of you New England Patriot* Fans out there, because to the majority of us fans your UNDEFEATED* season will always be TAINTED*.
