Paris - Eiffel Tower - u-Assist Forums

When I got married, we stayed very close to the Eiffel Tower, it was right out our window in it's magnifigant majesty. We stayed at the Hotel Splendid, right next to Ecole Militaire (the military school). Hotel was ok, small room, price was good, and location was amazing.

5 things that stood out to me while we were there.

Most Parisians were NOT rude (maybe 1 or 2)
Every building is beautiful - we got tired of saying, oh, look at that building.
The food there was the best we'd ever eaten, and believe me, we've eaten at a lot of top restaurants!
Eventually, you get used to the smoke and stop hacking up your lungs
Everyone smells, sorry, it's true!

I've never been there but it's a place I'd definitely love to go. Maybe I'll get a chance to go in a few years when I have some more money saved.

Yeah, we were pretty stunned by the prices, the euro is definately strong compared to the dollar. I think we paid around 3-4 american $'s for a bottle of coke. That said, it was a great bottle of coke

real sugar, none of this corn syrup crap.

I would hope so for $4, haha. So the Coke there was better than it is in the States?

Yep, everything there is better -- it's joie de vie, the joy of life.

Actually that great coke can be found in Canada and Mexico as well, basically every place other than the states.

My girlfriends been nagging at me to take her to paris. I'll have to give in sometime soon because I'm desperate to go to :-(

I've always dreamed of going to paris, but i've just never had the money or time. Maybe some time soon i'll be able to afford it.

I can get to paris in just over 2 hours by eurostar from Ashford in the UK, but i've never found the money or the time to go. I need to really find an excuse just so I can have a look round at least.

I would love to visit Paris someday, maybe someday Ill find someone to take me there.
