best time to plant a garden in Upstate, NY?
Last year, I planted in May and still encountered frost.

The rule of thumb for this area is Memorial Day and after. If threat of frost exists, cover seedlings/plants at night and uncover for the day.

its still going to be cold for a month or so. you shoould wait a little and then start working on it before anyone else does so your house can look pretty first
