| Three quick Question for the R&S gardeners?
My garden, my plans to create a garden worthy of nomination for the Chelsea flower show have been brutally scuppered by an embarrassing lack of funds..
A blossom to the front interfered with overhead telephone lines, and is therefore cut down but not completely destroyed. Alas yes I have planted a burgeoning fig tree in a little concrete pot, which requires replanting ro the rear in more open ground. I advised the gardener to lay down weed suppressant material and to cover with wood bark, but he adamantly refused, saying the weeds would not return, and he liked pulling them out, I fumed but he smiled and I fumed a little quieter ... The weeds are peering through the wood bark and in my attempts at creating a low or no maintenance garden of weedless flowering evergreens, yes more work has been created ... furthermore the overhead lights to the front of the house that light up automatically when someone approaches the property have not worked since 2001. I have called in many repair men, but to no avail, I spent £20 on little solar metal lights that look ridiculous and will be uprooted and thrown away, as they neither light the wayfarers path or blend in with the garden but merely soak up the suns energy to give nothing forth ...
The Deity is not entirely infallible and my gardening skills giving consideration to my lack of funds, leave a little to be desired ..
