| | Junior Member | What do you think of this bridesmaids dress and where can I find it? The colours for my wedding are soft pink and green like http://www.richeflowers.com/images/tulip%20bridal%20bouquet.jpg or http://www.flowers.org.uk/images/flowers/ranunculus_big.jpg even a little paler than those. If my wedding had a theme I suppose it would be garden party, it would be held outside in a garden in summer (hopefully warm summer night).
I had originally chosen another dress for my maids, but I think this one is quite elegant even though the colours are stronger than I had wanted.
This is the dress http://www.sherrihill.com/dresses/Sherri_Hill_s02071.htm and the one on the right http://www.sherrihill.com/dresses/Sherri_hill_6.htm
do you think they will they look ok even though they are bright?
Also do you know where I might be able to buy them at a discount? I live in australia so it would have to be off a website (there are no stockists here) I can only find them for $560 which is too much.
I have looked on ebay and they are not there so please don't suggest it. |

| | Junior Member | What do you think of this bridesmaids dress and where can I find it? my good friend had a great idea for her bridesmaids, she gave them each a swatch of cloth and basically said, i don't care what kind of dress you get, it just has to be this color.
you can expand on that idea as much as you want, but i thought it was great b/c we ended up getting a dress that we could potentially wear once again |

| | Junior Member | What do you think of this bridesmaids dress and where can I find it? These colors seem a big contraditory in the worst way. While the dresses are elegant, they also have abusive colors. The theme may be one thing, but won't it be white brides dress, black tuxedo, and then this mixture here? You yourself said that it was too expensive, and possibly harder to find too. Maybe you should pick something else.
Or i f that doesn't work, email or write the company and see if they can send something out to you. |

| | Junior Member | What do you think of this bridesmaids dress and where can I find it? I think the dresses would work extremely well with what you've said. As far as where to get for less, my only suggestion would be to make them yourself, or have someone else make them.
You might be able to find similar fabrics, or a good seamstress might know how. I would think that they could even do it for 1/2 the price.
We did my daughter's bridesmaids dresses ourselves, and it was so much cheaper that way. We even called the fabric maker direct to order the material - also much cheaper that way. We did that because she found exactly the material she wanted, but it had been discontinued and there wasn't enough left. So, I got the manufacturers name off the bolt, and called direct. They were great, sold it for less than the retailer, and delivery was wonderful.
There are options. Don't be afraid to explore them. And, I'm proud of you for wanting to be frugal!! That is a lot art in wedding planning these days. |

| | Junior Member | What do you think of this bridesmaids dress and where can I find it? I like the dresses and think they are perfect for a summer wedding. Sorry, can't help you about where to buy them. I would ask if they have any samples or discontinued items that might be on sale.
Try a web search of "discounted wedding dresses" or "discounted bridesmaid dresses" and see what comes up. The shipping costs may eat up any of your savings, however.
With respect to the flowers, I would pick one color for the flowers and do shades of the same. For example, bridesmaids have pale pink; maid of honor has deep pink, you have both, something like that. I think that would keep it from looking too busy. If your wedding is at night, you can do green candles to still get your color scheme in there. |

| | Junior Member | What do you think of this bridesmaids dress and where can I find it? I think your colors, the dresses and the garden party theme is AWESOME!! Just BEAUTIFUL!! Esp. if it's on a warm summer night. Too bad my wedding is next week, otherwise I'd steal all your ideas! They are very romantic.
I don't think the colors are too strong, its for summer!
I hate to say I have no idea though, where to order those for less $$....You may want to hire a seamstress....Usually a seamstress will do it for $100-200. You would have to just bring in a really good photo of the dress and the girls would have to get measured. Consider that!!
Good Luck, you have great taste. |

| | Junior Member | What do you think of this bridesmaids dress and where can I find it? I am a slim size 4 and there is no way I would ever wear either of those dresses. They are too revealing and even look like they are falling off the models. Be considerate of your bridesmaids. A strapless sweetheart neckline is flattering on no one. This dress is quite a but more elegant and can be purchased in pink with a green sash or the green with a pink sash. |
