Chameleons and hibiscus flower???

I wouldn't do the hibiscus thing at all. But if you insist, put the whole plant in the cage.

If you buy the plant from a garden store, find out what they've been using on the plant, i.e. if they spray it down with poisen every night, maybe it's not such a good thing to give it to a cham.

I would offer it greens in a little container (a suspended one, since they can't really walk on ground to get it) like red chard, or dandilion greens. Those were really popular with my little guy.

Chameleons and hibiscus flower???

Live plants are essential for chameleon enclosures. Live plants make chameleons feel secure in their environment, the soil from the pots provides clean humidity, and foliage is necessary for gathering the water droplets chameleons drink. Fake plants do not have the natural benefits of live plants, often don't collect water well, and chameleons make try to eat them and become ill.

I suggest planting it right in the vivarium. I layer the bottom of my vivarium with about an inch of Florida Crushed Coral and then cover it with a mixture of Plantation Soil by Exo Terra and completely organic potting soil of about 2 - 3 inches. For hibiscus you might need more soil though.

Make sure that the plant is grown without pesticides/herbicides. Completely organic is best. When transplanting make sure to rinse away all the old soil if it's not completely organic.

The chameleons will love the hibiscus flower.
