The Long-Ass Storyline
Halo: Combat Evolved
The Pillar of Autumn (POA) fleed to an unknown planet (later on in Halo 2 to be known as Threshold) where the first Halo is found. The POA landed there damaged but the most of the crew made it out and landed on the Halo. After the Master Chief saved the crew, he went to find the silent cartographer which is a map room of Halo. After splitting up with Cortana, he went to find Captain Keyes. Instead, he finds the place crawling with parasites and saved by the 343 GuiltySpark (Monitor).
The monitor then transport him to help retrieve the Index (which is the key to activating halo and thus destroy the flood). After retrieving it,the monitor and the MC meets up with Cortana. Realising the truth about Halo, MC started getting enemy movement around him. The monitor then betrays him and ordered all Sentinels to kill everything. After playing through the levels, the MC finds that Captain Keyes was infected with the flood and punch to his head to retrieve the codes to destroy the POA engines.
In the last level, MC manage to make POA explode and escapes in a Longsword. His last words were: "I think we're just getting started" making the mark of Halo2.
Halo 2
MCgot back to Earth and gets a medal. The Covenant then suddenly appeared but in smaller number (The Covenant in Reach was 4 times bigger). War break lose from space to the ground of Earth. At the same time, a Supreme Commander in charge of the first Halo which was destroyed by MC was charged to be killed. He was instead gave the position of an Arbiter to pay the debt.
After a brief talk with Miranda Keyes, it seems that a Prophet was searching for something in Earth but didn't find any. After the MC destroys a Scarab, the Prophet uses a slipspace inside the city of Mombasa, followed by UNSC Amber Clad which was carrying the MC. At the same time, the Arbiter went down to Threshold to kill a Heretic leader and ends up finding the Monitor of the first Halo.
MC and his friends later found another Halo and tried to destroy it again. After killing the prophet, he was seemed to be dead but saved by Gravemind. The Arbiter also was at the same place but instead tried to retrieve the Index. Betrayed by the brutes and the prophets, he fell. Later, Gravemind tells the truth about Halo to both characters. The MC went to kill the prophets but failed. He followed them into a Forerunner ship and went back to Earth. The Arbiter later on gets to kill Tartarus and makes all the Halos on standby mode.
The story continues with the arrival of the forerunner ship (With MC in it). He then said: "To finish the fight". |
