Would a scrapbook be too "cheesy" for a gift for my sister for Christmas?

She's 32 and artsy. She works for a Union in Seattle and is currently vacationing in rural Costa Rica. She does pottery and plays the violin. She speaks some Japanese and spent a year there. So, you kinda get the idea of what she is like. I just thought it'd be really sweet to gather pictures of us growing up together and kind of organize them to themes and making a scapbook looks fun! I think I could make it artsy and not soo cheesy, right? Any suggestions? It would be my first scrapbook. She is very sentimental so maybe she'd think it was sweet! I thought I'd kinda make it a "Sisters" theme. What do you think? I mean I don't want to use like lots of pink and put cutesy little stuff all over but I think I can be creative and make it look really artistic? THANKS FOR ANY ADVICE!

that is defiently a good gift. It is personalized, sweet, homemade, and a nice keepsake that isn't just junk she would throw away. I think it is a really good idea and the sisters theme is good 2. Then maybe get her some extra supplies so she can continue adding to it.

Nope, I think it would be good and heartfelt. My wife did that for her grandmother and she loved it. Especially if your sister is artsy!

I think that is a great idea. I think it shows how much you value her as a sister. She sounds like a person who values experiences more than "things", so this would be a gift which would show your appreciation for the experiences you have shared.

I think it would be a once in a lifetime gift and I have done it myself. We had a family reunion last year that my sister in law put together and I took all the pictures and my daughter (who is very good at scrapbooking) made her a wonderful scrapbook for my sister in laws birthday and she LOVED it!! It is a gift that no one else can give her and one that you will have made with your own hands and heart. I think she will LOVE it.
