4. Opening HTML or plain-text messages from unknown senders
5. Surfing gambling, porn, or other legally-risky Websites
6. Giving out passwords, tokens, or smart cards
7. Random surfing of unknown, untrusted Websites
8. Attaching to an unknown, untrustworthy WiFi network
9. Filling out Web scripts, forms, or registration pages
10. Participating in chat rooms or social networking sites

although i object #10, there's nothing wrong with chat rooms, myspace or friendster, as long as it is a trusted site and you're careful with what you post, say, participate in or connect to online. :)

2a. Downloading software from anywhere but the vendor's or the author's website.

5a. Surfing serials, cracks, and warez sites is even more risky than visiting porno and gambling sites.

11. Downloading from peer to peer (P2P) networks using programs such as Limewire or Kaaza.

12. Surfing with an unupdated, unpatched copy of Windows.

13. Clicking on links received in an instant messenger, the sender's name is easily spoofed to make it look like it is someone you know.
