What new will it have and what features will it add to xp

nothing really important. it should offer some affects like vista but no. they scared everyone would go back to xp. its not even available yet. suppose to be yesterday.

It's not really that different - and it is available - it's been out for weeks

Not a whole lot. It supposedly enhances functionality and resolves some security issues, and your Log Off and Shut Down buttons will now have a soft glow around them. That's about it.

SP3 is just a roll up of all previous updates. There are a few small editions, but they will make no diffrence to end users, things like Network Access Protection to intergrate wth Server 2008.

The primary reason is to incorporate the 100+ security patches that have come out since ServicePack2.

It will also add support for wireless WPA and WPA2 encryption, which is currently not available via "updates" in XP (Although you CAN download the separate file from microsoft without SP3)

There will likely add some security enhancements, but over-all it's not going to change the look or feel of the system, that is NOT the purpose of Service Packs.
