Are you a dog person, a cat person, a bird person?

I am without a doubt a bird person. :) I currently have 23 birds, one of which keeps jumping on the keyboard... >_>

I love all types of birds, but here is why I think parrots in particular are great:
* They can speak in context, not just mimic. Instead of whining and growling, they tell you what they want in plain English!
* They come in every colour of the rainbow
* They dance!
* They sing!
* You can take them on outings with you (as long as they wear a harness)
* They are very affectionate and loving pets
* You need to earn their trust, and it's quite special to have an animal that trusts you like that
* They are so playful! They are like kittens that never grow up. My lorikeet likes to roll on his back and play with a ball with a bell in it
* A lot of them love to sit with you and cuddle :P
* They are incredibly intelligent, one of the smartest animals in the world
* They can be taught to roll over, come, fetch, all of those sorts of things. Ride a mini bicycle... the list of trick training is endless
* They are so funny! They are always doing crazy and silly things
* They are hygienic and like to take baths and keep their feathers in order... they don't have a bad or strong odor
* They are unique

The downsides are that they are messy, loud, high maintanence pets.

I love all animals though :)



EDIT: Also forgot to add they are lifetime friends... many parrots live 40-90 years. For some people this is a good thing, others it's a bad thing.

I am definetly a cat person, but I love all animals! My fav. animal is a cow. I like cats better than dogs because they will play with you, and if you are just feeling lazy they will just lie on your lap. Also they don't smell like wet dog! Hahaha!

i am a dog person because they will never ignore you dislike you (unless you abuse them by not giving them food hitting them and laboring them)
if your getting your first i suggest to spend a lot of time with them like make a specific feeding time feed them every day at the same time groom them regulary you can message me if you need help!

dOGS, I LOVE DOGS, ESPECIALLY THE ONES THAT ARE LITTLE AND DON'Y GROW. You can play with them, they will get attached to you in a strong way. If you get one, get a female. They usually are more playful than males.

I love dogs and cats...I have one of each. I love horses as well but don't have any...darn!

(8) dogs, 0 cats. I would say we are dog people. I do not recall ever hearing any of us even wonder why we don't have at least one cat.
We also have (8) horses...

100% dog person. Because I grew up around them. We didn't have cats and birds, just dogs.
