allergic to most pets...?

i'm allergic to pretty much anything with hair--dogs, cats, birds, hamsters, guinea pigs, etc. Are there any kind of pets [other than fish] that i could have?
and i wont spend 2000 on one, either.

Go see an allergy specialist to find out why you're so allergic to everything. I've even heard of people being cured of allergies by chiropractors and accupuncturists.

Better to fix the problem than to keep putting a bandage on it, yes?

Bearded dragons are awesome! Although they are reptiles, the have quite a bit of personality! They have grumpy days just like people! It's crazy! But I love my beardie and am very happy that I decided to get one! Just make sure to do the proper research on them befor getting one as they do have a couple of special needs. Snakes and other lizards are also a good choice for allergies. And there's also turtles. That's all I can think of for now. Good luck finding your pet! Hope I helped!

People allergic to pets like this are often not allergic to shih tzu's. They do not shed.

allergic to most pets...?

Chinchillas are good pets because they don't have problems with pet dander or parasites (fleas, etc.) because their coat is so dense. It is incredibly soft. Their coats get "greasy-looking", so they do require a "dust" bath -however; you may or may not be allergic to that. I leave the dust houses in their cages and put some dust in if they're empty. Many people just give their Chinnies a dust bath once a week. If you are interested in owning a Chinchilla, keep in mind they are nocturnal and they love to chew things. They may nibble on you to taste you and if they are annoyed may give you a little nip. Anything cherry is poision to a Chinchilla as are cedar chips. They are very friendly and some of mine love to cuddle. They can be mischevious though. They don't have good eyesight so they "memorize" the room when let out of their cage. They are a bit fragile - not a good pet for a child. They can easily be squeezed and they will suffocate to death. A terrible death for a Chinchilla. They do live up to 20 years in captivity, so be prepared to have your pet Chinnie for a long time. Their diet should not be changed rapidly, they have sensitive systems. They need Chinchilla pellets (not rabbit pellets), alphalpha or timothy hay and fresh water in their cage. They love peanuts and raisins, but do not give these treats too often or you will have a chubby Chinchilla and shorten it's lifespan. Also, Chinchilla's don't need shots like cats and dogs do. They do not have an odor, but if you neglect the cage, you will smell ammonia from the urine. Not pleasant for you, and even less pleasant for your Chinnie! So, keep the cage clean! I hope this helps!
