| | Banned | Honestly... who cares? I used to feel this way, too. But think of all the people in your life. All the people you've helped. All the people who's lives you've touched, even if just in passing. You made a difference. Ever smiled at somebody random? You brightened their day. There's so many people, but you are unique. No one is quite like you.
Next to eternity? Think of it this way. Time is a black void and people are lights or flames, whatever suits your fancy. People who go around trying to make a difference, by smiling at people, or helping someone pick up the stuff they dropped, or giving someone the five cents they're missing when they're checking out, they are bright lights that other smaller lights cling to. Those bright lights help to spark others, they help to make brighter lights from those around them.
Remember, you never have to do something big to change someone's day, just smile, be polite, people really do notice.
I'm motivated through my day by just being. Being nice, being kind, being helpful, being loving. People will see that in you. You help to change lives everyday, even if you don't notice. |

Currently Feeling | Honestly... who cares? honestly, nothng really, like my best friends keeps me from kiliing myself, as a lot of ppl depend on someone....
i guess a lot of ppl depends on other and happiness motivates them and a lot of the time success matter to ppl because they're born that way or it's thaught to them and they want to help furture generations with their accomplishments and stuf, and even as little tear drops if that big we stil have emotions and needs as humans wich kinda sucks sometimes but it's always true i guess, it's not like we're robots and even if we were or are(never know, lol) some can have emotions and stuff still lol. like ghost in the shell of funny shows and junk. lol, Bender!! sorry random, but still that's all just some views of it, then if ur like religical or whatever you might beleieve in heaven and hell and stuff so you gotta live a certain way or whatever to get whereever it is ur going, and some beleive in reincarnation and stuff so they gotta be good to get up higher. And if you touch someone else's life then u ripple further and they may touvh more and then more so that ripple grows and grows and turns into a wave and it crashes and turns into bigger waves and eventually vaporizes and then rains down on all the water to tuch all the drips, right?
erm, hope this made since at least a little... lol. ^_^ |

| | Banned | Honestly... who cares? Perhaps this question could be looked at from another standpoint. During our life is it where we end up that is important or instead is it what we do to get there? If you cosider life as a race to get to the finish line then yes there is not anypoint to it. But perhaps if you consider life to be like a vacation, something to be enjoyed every minute because it will soon be over then living life to the fullest makes a great deal of sence.
I hope this helps you. |

| | Member | Honestly... who cares? I am writing a book. In the book, there are characters that have become so close to me, they seem almost real. I feel that if I gave up my life, I would in turn give up their lives, their hopes, their willingness to live.
So I keep going, hoping that if I allow myself to live, I will allow them to live. Maybe that's all we are, characters in some wretched beings book, spiraling toward the climatic epilogue we know is to come.
Bet that will get ya thinking... |

| | Banned | Honestly... who cares? GOD cares. Everyone that is on the earth life has a purpose.Even the wino on the street life has a purpose; even if it is only "how not to live". So your life has a purpose. Ask GOD to come into your life and manifest HIMSELF to you. When you find GOD you will find your purpose. GOD bless. |

| | Banned | Honestly... who cares? heh. that's exactly what i think.
But are you honestly saying you have no appreciation for this life?
If you aren't christian, seek God. He's worth living for. He cares. And I know, because I'm alive today.
We're not like animals (no offense to animal lovers)- we don't live just to prevent extinction. We have thoughts, moments, memories, emotions.....don't you care for that?
We are all just a drop of water in an endless sea, but if all of us decided that life has no importance, there would be no sea. |

| | Banned | Honestly... who cares? There IS no point. None. In the end, who really remembers you? You live you die and for what? To rot.
Sometimes there is no purpose. I'm 22. I haven't discovered it yet... |

| | Banned | Honestly... who cares? I live as though my life matters because I am alive to judge the contents of my life and I'd like the contents to be rational. Else, I will wind up depressed and despairing, as you are. Good luck getting over it--seriously. Read some "Chicken soup for the soul" books, or "Everything I know I learned in Kindergarten." If you really want a challenge to bring you out of your slump, read "Atlas Shrugged" to discover how philosophy is not for the ivory tower, and how it has direct consequences in the way you think and live--and feel. |
