laptop won't connect to the internet?

I am trying to connect my latop throught the internet both ways and I get both icons that say Limited or no connectivity for wired or wirless I check to make sure the dhcm is enabled on the router everone else can connect to the internet the main computer which is wired and the wireless latops. I have a gateway MA3 and D-link DGL 4300 router. I just switch router abut 4 days ago and was abe to connect throug it. but now it wont let me.everything is set on auto

Sounds like your strength is very low. Contact your provider for assistance.

if all your gadgets are working propely then your last resort is the CONFIGURATION. and you might also need to ask for your INTERNET SERVICE PROVIDER for those settings.

strength low OR security setup. gotta get in the admin of the roujter. Try repositioning the router or connecting right next to it. Try getting a flash bios update for the router. the router manufacturer website shold be able to point you to where adn how to do that.

On one of the other computers, go into the router configuration and look at the dhcp leases. Count the number of addresses in the available pool for dhcp. This should be at least 2 or 3 more than you have computers. Then count the number of assigned addresses. If there are more addresses assigned than you have machines, someone is using your connection. In this case you obviously have not set encryption. Do so for your own protection. Then after saving your settings and restarting the router try your connection again. If the encryption is already set there may be a problem on your laptop. check your drivers are correctly installed.
