What would you theorize is the most advanced top secret military technology today?

I've always been sort of a hi-fi fantasy buff. Also, someone who studies science. I've always been curious as to what our military is working on in top-secret. You know area 57 stuff. I know none of us could ever know for sure, but given how technology is so advanced today and historically we only know what they were working on 15-20 years after the fact, it's fascinating to think where they might be. Not to mention unlimited funds and resources mixed with the worlds greatest scientific minds. So if you had to guess, what is it today, that are military is working on. Give me your most sophisticated, realistic theory.

Anti-Mechanized Infantry Handheld Lasers.

Even looking at mining technology, handheld lasers are barely out of reach and getting cheaper by the day.

While they are inefficient uses of energy for taking out infantry, they are extremely viable for disabling/destroying gas-powered armored vehicles. In Aircraft, a laser could easily be made omni-directional, very long range, and impossible to defend, making it an insanely proficient aircraft killer. And with modern aircraft's targetting systems and power generation, there is no doubt they could be fitted with the lasers of commercial use.

Lasers could also be used as defense against short and long ranged missiles, and as tracking software and laser technology advance the uses of lasers for defense too would advance.
