A christian who holds grudges?

I had this friend who always debated with me between science and christianity. I'm on the logic side and hes the faith man. So I always ask him if he feels hate or spite whenever we debate, he always says no and says its part of our relations. I also joke around with him a lot.

In cross country 3 years ago I remember beating him in a race. He didn't like losing to me that day because he says he prays to god for strength but I don't. =P Strength is only gained thru your own effort. Now when I tried contacting him he won't respond and in my message I said let us forget the hard times.

I guess he sinned for lying and holding grudges. Whats his deal?

He's not a real Christian?.. and that he's just a Christian by word of mouth. Not all people live by what they preach and is so sad for them just being so..

Sounds like he's human and he's not doing what he is suppose to be doing cause his religion say's not too and maybe he is confused. Did that make sense? I know what I want to say but just can't find the write sentence to say it.. Sorry. Me

may-be he just has a problem with BELIEVING in his "guide-lines" and COPING with his inner-strengths! or LACK of them!

anyone who knows anything about the faith knows that we are all given Trials and tribulations on a daily basis. Little tests of faith so to speak.

Praying for strength to win was not what God wanted him to do... win that is... it is a lesson for him. If he wants to win, he must train to win.

That is getting off track....

The real deal is that there is a much bigger Plan so to speak in the works and there is a chance that losing to you is turning your friend in a direction that his life needs to go in. AND YOURS.....

so, if the friend cant get over losing, you need new friends. but keep the door open to the old ones, Just in case he decides that he likes losing to you.

its part of life..... also christians can be competitive as ever ... sounds more like he may have some personal issues though

if he is holding a grudge over something so trivial then ....(my opinion would be that he has a father that taught him that u MUST always win .>>if not your a failure) friendship comes first, and obviously that christian friend of yours has alot of spiritual growth to be made... he has his priorities wrong if he takes loosing a race that deeply toheart and lets it affect his life that mch
