| FAFSA PELL help? A pell grant is no more than around $4,500 at maximum. The Stafford loan will give you$3500 freshman year, and increases as you move up in class.
Keep in mind though that most State Schools do not meet full need and gap. That means that even if your EFC ends up zero, there could be a gap between the federal aid and Cost of Attendance at the school. If the State School is 10k a year (from your example) and you got the max Pell Grant and Loan....you could still be short 2k.
A zero income is rare and unusual, so be prepared for them to check that throroughly. |
