Google TV - An Elaborate Hoax

Ive been hearing a lot about this the past day or so and it does appear to be a Hoax.
A heavily produced YouTube video from Mark Erickson at “Infinite Solutions” shows users how to get in on the super-secret (and non existent) Google TV beta. It involves sending yourself an email and then logging in and out of Gmail multiple times until a tv icon appears in the Gmail logo. In the comments to the video, some users have tried logging in and out of Gmail hundreds of times without it working.

Erickson then posted a second video to prove the authenticity and saying that Google had increased the login requirements “substantially”. A+ for effort and originality.

Another video found via CenterNetworks “confirming” the accuracy of the hoax. This guy says he got it to work on his 114th login, after copying numerous links on the Gmail settings page.

Remember its a Hoax and will not work so dont bother wasting your time.

LOL I gave up on Easter Eggs a long time ago, I mean, if this was true, that would be cool to get invited, but usually easter eggs in general would just give you credits or something, or something else, but usually the effort wasn't worth it...

good videos though, that's a great way to get yourself known!

hmmm, maybe u-assist needs a very cool easter egg with some guy videoing it... better yet, just some guy videoing it and lots of people trying but not getting it.
