Behold the Scotty Pro. This questionably named charger uses the power of the Sun to charge its internal batteries, and then in turn charges up your cellphone/ipod/pda/whatever, via USB. Of course, the USB port it has is dumb, it’s just for power, but that’s a trend we see being quite popular this year and more and more gadgets gain the ability to charge via bus power.

This Scotty Pro is a solar powered charger that charges fully within 7 hours or uses a backup AA Batteries to charge your phone, ipods, pda, anything that uses a USB connection. It costs about 100$, looks very handy, could be ideal for camping or outdoor or emergency use. They have a lot of adapter cables for a number of devices, so you can use this Scotty Pro to charge them.

This is way to cool and a must have.

It is a good product. It is appropriate for mobile people with mobile devices. I find it a bit expensive though.

So it's just a device that gives power to your phone or something else from the Sun?

Yeah it is a little on the pricey side but like everything else, after awhile the prices will drop.
