| Isn't the 4th of July a liberal holiday?
Think about it. The 4th is about the Declaration of Independence, the most liberal document in world history. The document basically told the very conservative leaders of a global empire ' You're not our boss anymore, and here's why '. Then it listed a slew of assumed rights not assumed anywhere else before in history!
That document basically asserted the identity of America. So, liberals are, actually, responsible for the existence of America itself as well.
Can Wacko, Texas conservatives admit to these facts? Isn't it true that the freedoms and rights we enjoy today as Americans were provided to us by founding liberals?
Garyb, many liberals are christians, guns rights for citizens are also a liberal right, as are the individual rights you mention. Things then were not always as they are now. Please re-read your history.
Seems to be a lot of uninformed tax nonsense here. Three Republican presidents are responsible for 75% of the country's total debt ever. If anyone wastes money, it's Republicans.

OK, Time's Up: Yes, liberal then meant something different than now. But it still applies more to liberals today than conservatives because of the last for GOP presidents.
