NYC trip - u-Assist Forums

Me and my husband are planning to take a trip to New York City this upcoming sumer, never been there and want to see the Statue of Liberty. While doing my planning I found a few deals on airline packages but what amazes me is that whe we tallied up the numbers to drive there instead of taking a plane it cost like 800 bucks more, can you believe that.
Well if anyone knows anything about NYC like hot spots and stuff please share them here.

You're lucky. I've always wanted to visit the US with my girlfriend but prices over to NYC are over £1000 each for planes. (Thats about $2000 each) :-(

We went there a while back and had a great time. You have to visit Ellis Island.

I'd love to visit NY one day, in fact I'm considering going there this summer before I go off to university.

Go to a hotel in Jersey City, Weehawken or area to save money. The hotels there are 1/2 the price (at least) and you just have to go over the Hudson to get to NYC. (These places are in NJ).
