Are the fire fighters right to have a go at Rudi Giuliani?

Can a mayor be resposible for operational decisions? Is this just the dreadful Hilary's cronies pulling a fast one? I am considering visiting the Big Apple this year for the first ime in decades and that's mainly down to what Rudi achieved with zero tolerance. Let's get the guy in the White House!!

It came out in several of the NY papers that the firefighters dissing Rudy were dems and had been Kerry supporters.

Its not a Hilary deal. Those firefighters were angry at Rudy from day 1 after the attacks.
Rudy is not the Hero everyone made him out to be, he just lucked out and was in the right place at the right time.
What exactly did he do that day other than jump in front of every camera around the city?

Your out of your mind if you want this guy in the White House. He helped plan 9/11!! His own bunker was in Building 7 which was imploded later in the day after the towers went down. He just happened to have a camera crew with him the day that he re-invented himself & his Nazi agenda.

The sad truth of the situation is Rudi had absolutly no control of the crime scene, and rescue operation, it was all handled by the Federal Government. Any mis operation needs to be directed to the actual source. Rudi did a fantastic job of holding his city together after that tragedy, he pointed no fingers, he did his job. Not like the man in New Orleans who blamed everyone but himself, for not putting his people and resources in place before the storm hit. He had warning Rudi did not.

How dare you cowards bad mouth men that volunteer to put their lives on the line for you! How dare you doubt their patriotism! To a man they love this country. Just like us they don't have a very high opinion of those in charge and rightly so. Their dear mayor totally betrayed them in not seeing they had proper breathing equipment and by not telling them it was not safe to breath unprotected and he did know!

Yes he is responsible for operational decisions. The NYFD has every right to be angry...how would you feel if a close friend or family member lost their life trying to save the lives of others...and in less than 24 hours their remains were used to fill potholes and a landfill. Imagine some you love being treated like trash after knowingly risking their life. He had a zero tolerance policy on drugs and prostitution, not terrorism...why don't you do some research into what he really achieved?

The firefighters and first responders of NY have been complaining about Giuliani for a LONG time. They aren't going to let Rudy get elected on the basis of being a 9/11 hero when the label isn't deserved in their opinion. I don't know about you, but I, and most people, respect the opinions of those firefighters and first responders. The only ax they have to grind is their anger at Rudy invoking 9/11 every time he gets the chance to make himself look good. After I heard what they have to say I can't say that I blame them. This isn't going to go away anytime soon...
