Did Fox News violate Equal Time laws by excluding Ron Paul and Duncan Hunter?

In 1970 Congress changed the equal time laws so that debates were considered "on the spot" news. Meaning they're unplanned and unscheduled. But, that clearly isn't the case any longer. Fox gave free air time to several candidates and purposely excluded two others. Is that a violation of the nature of the law?

I believe that this law has alreadly been expired or repealed. That is why you dont see third party candiates on these debates.

No, because the law was amended to exclude debates. It doesn't make it right, but it does make it legal. Ours is far from a flawless system of government.

I can't think of any reason to include Ron Paul and Duncan Hunter in the debates.
